This week’s Zentangle challenge prompt over at iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com was more of a general theme musing on how we interpret “home”. For me, home is the state I live in – it’s a state of mind, a state of being. And in summer, it’s just glorious – the green, the hills, mountains, the fresh air, the beautiful vistas.
I love living here in Vermont more than any other place I’ve lived. And when I leave the state, my heart pines for my green mountains. Last summer, shortly after hurricane Irene hit, I had to go to see my folks in Philly. The more I read about the devastation back home, the more teary-eyed I became. I couldn’t wait to come home. I had to be here. And when I close my eyes and think of Vermont, it’s the softly layered hills in tints of green and blue I see. My Green Mountain home…
Just Brilliant!

This is spectacular! The color and the tangles blend for a beautiful tile.
What a fabulous zia! Wonderful response to the challenge. I love the colors you used for your mountains. Just beautiful! 🙂
Oh my, such beautiful colors and patterns!
I just love this piece of art!
Well done!
Vermont is a gorgeous state and I love how you have used your tangle patterns to give us a look at its beauty!
This is so beautiful. I love all the various tangles and the colors chosen with love. I lived in MA before I was married in the 1960’s and we would travel up to Vermont to go antiquing and to the farm stands in the Summer. A beautiful state.
Very lovely! Mountains, hills, fields…
